Captain Clarke has come back into the team despite questions being raised about his fitness, but his presence has changed the way Australian have played in this World Cup. The confidence he brought into the tea, with his aggressive captaincy and strong batting.

He has enough proven talent that he is the mainstay of the middle order for Australia. Though he is not flamboyant or big hitter, but he is the best player of spin in Australian team and the team will be dependent on him to negate the threat of Ashwin, Jadeja and Raina.

His only weakness is against short delivery, as exposed by Wahab Riaz in their QF encounter. He is also weak outside off stump and can get out if bowled in the corridor of uncertainty.
