Another weak link which the West Indies has is Carlos Brathwaite. No, there’s no doubt about his cricketing skills. But, it is his leadership skills that will really be tested in the series.

Inexperience at the international level may be a problem for Brathwaite who has played only 8 T20Is, 14 ODIs, and 3 Tests thus far in his career. He has little captaincy experience in domestic cricket but is a relatively untested leader. Although the team is full of senior veterans, tactical blunders in the fast-paced format may lead to negative results for the team.

With a man like MS Dhoni leading the opposition, playing against India sometimes is a captain v captain contest. This adds to the challenge as any decision by Brathwaite could ease the work for Mahi and can cost West Indies the match.
