After facing the tormenting injury, Kieswetter made his return to cricket in September, 2014. It was then that he experienced that his vision was still impaired and the reflexes were lacking. He headed onto South Africa and scored 199 runs in 10 innings in the domestic season. After finding out the flaws in his reflexes, he decided to sit out for the 2015 season and eventually announced his retirement of late.
