5 reasons why the Aussies could make a winning comeback: Given the recent trends while playing home and away, fortunes of the sides are pretty much predictable when they tour abroad.

Keeping that aspect in mind one has got to take your hats off to the Australian fightback in the recently concluded second Ashes test with some seriousness. They have pretty much ensured their detractors hide their face after the comprehensive routing of the English. Those who argued that Aussies are home track bullies are nowhere to be seen now. They have responded aggressively to the English challenge and hit back with some venom.

This places the Ashes perfectly for an even more heated battle in the remaining tests. With most of the guys back in form they are as much the favourites to take the series as the English.

And thus its a perfect scenario to list out the 5 reasons why the Aussies could make a winning comeback:

At Cardiff the major issue was the Australian batting’s abrupt failure. With the likes of names in the batting line up and a flat pitch it was somewhat surprising. But Lords was a totally different story. From the point Clarke won the toss and decided to bat, it was just about the willow. They plundered the English attack all over the park. Rogers and Smith made the England bowlers dance to their tunes and scored 65 more runs than what England could put up both innings combined. Even the second innings brought no respite and the Aussies declared with just two down for over 250. These can well be the warning signs for the England side in the upcoming tests.
