4. Fastest to 10,000 ODI runs

When Sachin Tendulkar became the first player to score 10,000 ODI runs, the mark was quite remarkable. However, many legends of the game followed his footmarks and reached the feat in ODIs. From India itself, there was Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid and later MS Dhoni. But, even though the landmark was reached by many stars, no one ever did it as many innings as Sachin.

Tendulkar had been the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs for a long time. He got there in just 259 innings, but Kohli had other ideas. In 2018, during the India-West Indies ODI match in Vizag, Kohli surpassed 10,000 ODI runs in just his 205th innings, becoming the fastest to get there.

He also holds the record of the fastest batsman to get 8000, 9000 and 11000 ODI runs. As a matter of fact, he needs to score just 133 runs in the next 60 innings to become the fastest ever to 12,000 runs. Considering the ODI records of the current cricketers, it is safe to assume that this record will stay with Kohli for a long time.
