4. Moeen Ali
As Moeen Ali is a spin-bowling all-rounder, it was obvious that he would be a good prospect for the teams playing in the IPL. He was first picked in the 2018 auctions but managed to play only a few matches. But, in the 2019 edition, he played more number of matches and batted quite well in the middle order for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
However, Ali wasn’t contributing enough with the ball to call him a proper all-rounder in the cash-rich league. In the 2020 season, RCB didn’t play him for most of the season. Finally, ahead of the 2021 auction, he was released.
Even though Ali has great T20 numbers in county cricket, his T20I numbers tell a different story. There are high chances that the franchise might not go for a bidding war for the spin-bowling all-rounder. He might not find a franchise this year. In addition, his international commitments have always restricted him from playing franchise T20 cricket across the globe.
