Ravindra Jadeja is one of India’s mainstays in all three formats. The left-handed Men in Blue all-rounder has had his ups and downs but has been a terrific performer for India. Be it with the bat, ball or in the field, Jadeja has the ability to make a difference in all three departments.

In the recent past, the Saurashtra all-rounder has been making his performance do all the talking. In fact, recently he was chosen as India’s No. 1 overseas spinner as well. Hence, he has answered his critics in style. The all-rounder is quite busy on Twitter and Instagram. There have also been times when Jadeja has not only won hearts on the field but also on Twitter.

Thus, here are five times when Jadeja stole the limelight on Twitter

1. When MS Dhoni called him ‘Sir’

Everybody knows that Ravindra Jadeja has been given the title of ‘Sir’. However, there is a story behind it. It first came into existence to troll him for his poor performances early in his career. After he was dropped, he returned to domestic cricket and returned with fabulous performances.

During the 2013 IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were involved in a cliff-hanger of a game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). With two runs required off the last ball, Jadeja was on strike and was caught at third-man. However, bowler RP Singh had overstepped which gave CSK the win.

Hence, MS Dhoni took to Twitter to express his happiness as he tweeted, “If you give Sir Jadeja 2 runs to score from 1 ball he will win it with the ball left”.

After this, Jadeja was all over Twitter. In fact, multiple parody accounts in the name of ‘Sir Jadeja’ were also formed.
