The sixth T20I between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Colombo was a witness to a heated ending. The visitors needed 12 runs off the last over to chase down 160 and make the final against India. Isuru Udana bowled a couple of shoulder-high bouncers, the second of which was called a no-ball by the leg-umpire.

But to the surprise of the Tigers, the decision was changed and the situation turned ugly. Shakib, the skipper, called his batsmen back in protest. But Khaled Mahmud asked Mahmudullah to go back and finish the game.

Bangladesh won the match by two wickets with Mahmudullah becoming the Player of the Match, but Shakib had to face the wrath of the ICC. He was fined 25 per cent of his match fees and given one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
