The Australian pacer, Mitchell Johnson has always been an animated character. He will be remembered as a player who is extremely competitive on the field, and never shies away from making bold statements. He is a fiery customer but he also loves fun which is visible from most of his posts in the social sites. A couple of years ago he was involved in a funny banter with the Kiwi pacer, Mitchell McClenaghan which accidentally made him a villain among the fans.

It all started with the New Zealander asking Johnson about his fitness and pace, and the Midge replied by suggesting a bowl off in order to find out the fastest left-arm pacer above the ’30s. In the meantime, Dean Jones got involved and mockingly put his bet on Ashish Nehra. Johnson continued the banter by replying about Nehra’s form and run up, and this wasn’t received well by the Indian fans.

The followers crucified the former Australian quickie for his line and lengths to which he replied by posting Nehra’s stats. The situation quickly escalated out of hands and what followed was tarnishing of both Aussies in the social media, as people even objectified his tattoos and bowling exploits in IPL.
