2. Ravi Ashwin and Prithi Narayanan

The modern legend of the test cricket-Ravi Ashwin has not been short of controversies over the years. He has always been brought into the debate for “The Spirit of the game” actions, by the audience as well as by some people of the cricketing fraternity.

In 2019, Ashwin was captaining the Punjab franchise and during a match against Rajasthan Royals, Ashwin dismissed the Royals’ well-settled batter-Jos Butler through Mankad. He was criticized badly for an action that is legitimate according to the rule book, but it was debated to be unethical by some of the audience and players.

Prithi and their children were attacked on Twitter and Instagram for this incident, by the so-called spirited cricket fans stating that their husband/father is a cheater. She expressed her opposition (in Twitter)to the trollers who took a dig at her timeline and posts.
