As usual, the Sunrisers Hyderabad won a lot of hearts with their gritty and inspiring performances in IPL 2020. Simply because the team reached the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season even after losing some of their key players to injuries. The only thing they will have to work on is to figure out their Indian batting core. And for that, they have to draft an experienced Indian middle-order batsman for the upcoming seasons.

The franchise can resolve that with some smart trading. They should let go of an underused commodity like Mohammad Nabi. The former Afghanistan skipper has hardly found a regular spot in the playing XI. And it is because their balance of the side doesn’t allow them to play two overseas spinners. Besides, now the rise of Shahbaz Nadeem will further mitigate his playing chances.

In that case, Mumbai should keep an eye on him. They can get him by trading a couple of their reserved players like Saurabh Tiwary and Aditya Tare. It will be a win-win situation for both teams. In particular, Mumbai need an experienced head in their spin department.

With Krunal losing his sheen in the last couple of seasons, Nabi will come in handy for the Rohit Sharma-led side. They can fit him in place of one of their overseas fast-bowling options if Hardik Pandya gets fit to bowl in the next season.
