The multi-dimensional cricketer from Punjab is a quality sportsman. Abhishek has been doing really well for whichever team he has played for. Recently, he was named as the captain of Punjab for the 2022 Ranji Trophy season. The Hyderabad-based franchise has continued to show faith in him and will want him to win games for SRH in this season as well as the coming seasons too.

The young and flamboyant all-rounder is rated very highly by the cricket experts due to his multi-dimensional gameplay. He has not played so many games in the league but he will surely get a longer run in the 2022 IPL season. Most of the IPL franchises were interested in him at the auction. A few of the franchises were bidding continuously but in the end, SRH were the one with the highest bid.

Abhishek was a member of the winning Indian side at the U19 World Cup 2018. Before that tournament, he won the Emerging Asia Cup as a captain for India. He has the ability to perform at a big stage like IPL. He is a fearless stroke player and is very reliable with the ball in hand. The selectors can go for him while selecting the team for the tournament as a replacement for someone like Ravindra Jadeja.
