The South African team’s pace battery includes the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris, Marchant de Lange and Kyle Abbott. They have excluded the senior pace bowlers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel from the squad for the 3-match T20I series. It would be interesting to see how these young pacers fare up in the conditions where they would be playing the World Cup in few months. It will be a perfect time for the selectors as well to decide whether these new bunch of bowlers can take South Africa forward in T20 internationals or else they need the services of their senior pacemen. While in the spin department, Imran Tahir and Eddie Leie have got reckoning, it will help the team management to foresee whether they are good enough in Indian conditions or they need some other spinners as well in the T20I side.
