Imtiaz Ahmed will forever be in the cricket history books; he was the 1st wicket keeper to score a double century in Test cricket and held the record for the highest score by a keeper until his countryman Taslim Arif overhauled it. In 1955, Imtiaz, batting at number 8, revived his side from a spot of bother at 111/6 trailing New Zealand’s 348. He powered Pakistan to 561 and was promoted to the number 3 position in the 2nd innings chasing a paltry 116 for victory. He couldn’t replicate his form of the 1st innings and was dismissed for a duck. Pakistan though, went on to win the game by 4 wickets.
