4. Sir Viv Richards (West Indies): 208 & 0, v Australia, 1984:
Sir Viv Richards put on an exhibition of shots when he scored a double century, powering his side to a competitive 479. Australia folded for 296 and it was Richards’ responsibility again to pile the runs to set the Australians an improbable target. That plan though, didn’t work as in the 2nd innings he was scalped by the great Craig McDermott and walked away with a second ball duck. West Indies missed out on an opportunity to push for a victory and the match ended in a draw.
