In the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 West Indies proved too strong for Pakistan. Batting first the Caribbean islanders scored 166/6 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. In reply, the Pakistani openers Ahmed Shehzad and wicketkeeper, batsman Kamran Akmal failed to open their accounts and the innings eventually folded for 82 in 17.5 overs.
