Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar has been a regular feature in the T20 team, especially after the World Cup. He made his debut back in December 2017 and then played a crucial part in India’s victorious campaign in the 2018 Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka.
The 20-year doesn’t impart much revs on the ball and mostly depends on accuracy. Sundar has done a reasonable job while bowling in the powerplay. Most times, he has given his team early breakthroughs. In 21 T20Is, Sundar has 18 wickets at an economy rate of 6.80.
The Tamil Nadu tweaker picked up three wickets in the Sri Lanka T20Is earlier this year. The youngster is also no mug with the bat and once helped India win with a six off the last ball. Sundar has now made his first appearance in BCCI’s annual contract, being placed in Grade C.
