The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka is far from being an unbreakable fortress for the hosts but on the individual basis as it put several Bangladesh players on the top of various lists. With 3938 runs in International cricket at this venue, Tamim Iqbal holds the record for scoring the most runs at a single venue.

Shakib Al Hasan (3900) and Mushfiqur Rahim (3566) follow the opener to take the 2nd and 3rd places. Tamim’s 2557 ODI runs in Mirpur are also the most for any player in ODI cricket at a venue. Shakib with 2377 runs and Mushfiqur with 2234 runs occupy 4th and 5th spots in this list at the moment.

He has 186 wickets across all formats to his name in Mirpur and is three wickets away from surpassing Muttiah Muralitharan’s record which he set with 188 International wickets at the SSC ground in Colombo. Shakib’s 112 ODI wickets are the 3rd most by any player in this format at a venue behind Wasim Akram’s 122 and Waqar Younis’ 114 wickets in Sharjah.
