5. The Fizz start:

Mustafizur Rahman made an impressive start to his international career as the left-arm medium-pacer troubled the Indian team on debut and helped Bangladesh register their maiden series over the Indians. He claimed five wickets on debut and bettered his performance with six wickets in the next game.

On his Test debut a month later, Rahman bagged a four-fer to help Bangladesh gain a first innings lead. Unfortunately, the match and series ended up in a draw due to rain. He won the player of the match award on both ODI and Test debut and became the first such player in the history of the game.

He is till date the only player to win player of the match award on both ODI and Test debuts. Elias Sunny and Lungi Ngidi are the other two players to win the player of the match award on debut in two different formats. They won it on their respective Test and T20I debuts with Elias, also from Bangladesh being the first to achieve it.
