7. Graeme Craig Smith, South Africa:
South African Graeme Smith, appearing in his 100th Test, in the match against England played between 19th and 23rd July 2012, at The Oval, scored 131 runs, facing 273 deliveries, with the help of 20 fours, occupying the crease for a little over six hours (367 minutes) in the first innings.
His partnership of 259 runs in 84.3 overs in the company of Hashim Amla (311*) for the second wicket and Amla’s unbroken partnership of 377* runs for the third-wicket along with Jacques Kallis (182*), helped South Africa amass a mammoth 637/2 decl, taking a lead of 252 runs. Restricting England to 240 runs in their second knock, South Africa went on to win the match by an innings and 12 runs.
