Pawan Negi, the 23-year-old all-rounder, is having a golden time at the moment careerwise. The all-rounder today was bought by Delhi Daredevils for a whopping 8.50 crores in IPL auction 2016 marking him ahead of stalwart Yuvraj Singh, making him the costliest Indian player of the auction. He was placed at a base price of just 30 lakhs.

Earlier, Negi’s name emerged out as the only surprise inclusion when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the T20I squad for the upcoming three-match series against Sri Lanka. The all-rounder got his maiden national call-up just ahead of the ICC World T20.

Negi is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a lower middle-order batsman, who is earned a name for his big hitting skills. Negi’s rise is sudden and no doubt very surprising.
