The Pakistan Super League 2019 was the fourth season of the tourney. Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the final to register their maiden title victory. Mohammad Hasnain was the Man of the Match for his 3-fer. Opener Shane Watson was the Player of the Tournament. Watson finished as the leading run-getter of the tournament scoring 430 runs at 43 including 4 fifties.

Sohail Tanvir was Quetta’s leading wicket-taker as the left-arm pacer took 15 wickets at an economy of 6.93. The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side finished at the second place in the league stage only behind the Peshawar Zalmi thanks to net run-rate.

Quetta has a bunch of lustrous T20 players- Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, Rilee Rossouw, Sohail Tanvir, Fawad Ahmed, and Umar Akmal- who all are single-handedly capable of turning a game on its head. There have been only three instances of Pakistani franchise playing in the Champions League- none of them could leave a big impression in the tournament. Quetta Gladiators, have the wheels to go deep in the tournament consisting of different franchises from the world.
