Mumbai Indians are the most successful franchise in the IPL with an unprecedented four titles and have also won the Champions League twice. MI won its fourth IPL title last year by beating CSK with a scant margin of a solitary run. They won the Champions League in 2011 and 2013 under the captaincy of Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma, respectively.

Mumbai has played 22 matches in the Champions League winning 11 of them and losing 9– a win percentage of 55. If the Champions League is to be hosted this year, MI would be the favourites to win it considering the superstar assembly they possess.

Mumbai’s middle-order striker Kieron Pollard is the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament’s history with 649 runs at a strike rate of 154. In fact, it was in the 2009 edition of Champions League where Pollard came into limelight with an 18 ball 54 against New South Wales. The West Indian also holds the record of most sixes in the tournament.
