It was again the West Indies openers who achieved the rather unwanted feat of getting run-out in the same innings. The openers were none other than the renowned pair of Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. They were players of immense value to their team. But in 1991 St. John’s Test against Australia, Greenidge and Haynes had put up a good fight when West Indies was chasing a mammoth target of 455 runs before a bad call led to the downfall of Haynes. Later, Greendige also got run-out. Australia won the match by 157 runs.
