'A finish that we never expected' - IPL franchises pay tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput

The untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput shocked everyone including the cricketing fraternity. The well-known Bollywood actor was found dead on Sunday at his Bandra residence. According to reports, he the reason behind his death was suicide. The news of Sushant’s death stunned everyone as condolences and tributes started surfacing on social media in no time.
One of Sushant’s most prominent roles was his performance in MS Dhoni’s biopic. There was an uncanny resemblance between Sushant and Dhoni and hence, the actor had received many accolades for his superb performance in the film.
Since then, Sushant has been closely associated with the sport and many fans fondly address him as the ‘Reel life MS Dhoni’. On his demise, many cricketers expressed their grief and offered condolences to his family. Moreover, IPL franchises also paid tribute to Sushant and reminisced his role in Dhonis’s biopic.
While remembering Sushant’s performance in the film, Dhoni’s IPL franchise– Chennai Super Kings– tweeted that it was a finish that we never expected. The ‘Yellow Army’ also expressed their shock and dismay over Sushant’s death. “Still reeling in shock. Terribly unfair,” tweeted CSK.

Delhi Capitals (DC) also said that they were shocked and saddened by hearing the news of Sushant’s demise. “We’re shocked and saddened to hear about the passing away of #SushantSinghRajput. A young and talented actor, gone too soon. Rest in peace,” tweeted the Shreyas Iyer-led franchise.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) touched the issue of mental health and appealed to everyone to talk about it when one’s in need of help. The franchise also thanked Sushant for the memories which he gave through his on-screen performances.
Similarly, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also thanked Sushant for the memories and expressed shock over the news of his death.
Sushant rose to fame after paving his way into Bollywood through the movie– Kai Po Che. Before that, he was a popular face in Indian television and was known for his role in the TV show Pavitra Rishta. Along with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Kai Po Che, Sushant also starred in many hit movies like PK and Kedarnath.
His recent Bollywood release was Chhichhore, which garnered positive reviews and did exceedingly well at the Box Office. Sushant’s upcoming Bollywood project was Dil Bechara, directed by Mukesh Chhabra.
