The betting scandals in the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) are increasing day by day. Recently as per reports by Kotwali Thana OC Rafiqul Islam, a total of 4 Indian batters have been arrested for betting in the Chittagong leg of the season. The BCB Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan revealed that two of the four men were arrested from the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

The betting activities have been in a regular flow in the start-studded tournament so far. It is also to be noted that betting is an illegal activity in Bangladesh and is a punishable offence. The surprising fact in this whole incident is that the bookmakers were caught in the statement itself, whereas the bookies operate usually from secret places as seen in the past times.
