Aakash Chopra gives a befitting reply to a Pakistan fan who mocked Team India after losing WC Final

India Women lost the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup to Australia on Sunday. Rather they weren’t in the game from ball one itself as the home side, in front of a jam-packed MCG, dominated the proceedings. India had beaten Australia in the tournament opener and were expected to repeat their heroics again in the final. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be. The former cricketer Aakash Chopra also highlighted the same but when a Pakistani fan trolled India for losing the Champions Trophy the same way in 2017, he came up with a befitting response.

The Virat Kohli-led side had thumped the arch-rivals Pakistan in the league stage of the Champions Trophy in 2017 held in England. India had defeated Pakistan by a mammoth 124 runs then and when the two teams were set to meet again in the final, very few had picked the Men in Green as the favourites.

However, the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side defied the odds to put up a comprehensive performance when it mattered the most and won the trophy. They beat India by 180 runs and the Pakistan fan also pointed out the same while mocking the Indian team for losing the final at the MCG on Sunday.

Aakash Chopra, however, didn’t hold himself back and gave it back to the fan. He questioned Pakistan’s performance since the Champions Trophy in the ICC events and also asked him the number of times the team qualified for the knockouts since 2017. For the uninitiated, Pakistan Women’s team won only a solitary match in the Women’s World Cup in Australia while they didn’t perform well in the 2018 edition played in the West Indies as well.

Moreover, the Men’s team also crashed out of the 2019 World Cup in England in the league stage itself after losing three of their first five matches. Aakash Chopra also came up with a taunt in Hindi to highlight Pakistan’s performance in the ICC events in the last three years.
