The Indian team has made a strong comeback in the Test series against England by winning the third Test. With two more games to go, there are some high expectations on the team to win the series or at least level it. The selectors, yesterday, have announced the Indian squad for the last two Test matches against the Brits.

There were two changes that were made from the squad for the first three Tests. Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari received their maiden call-ups replacing Murali Vijay and Kuldeep Yadav in the squad. Although these two changes were welcomed by many, former cricketer Aakash Chopra didn’t seem to be much impressed.

Aakash took it to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to share his opinions about the squad that was selected. The former Delhi cricketer expected few of the cricketers who were doing well in the domestic circuit to make it into the Indian team. However, to his utter disappointment, these cricketers couldn’t make it to the final squad.

‘Feel for Mayank Agarwal,’ Aakash Chopra

Mayank Agarwal has been one of the most consistent performers in the domestic circuit in the last few months. He has piled up several runs in the recent past and has done it all to stand himself a chance to get picked for India. But, yet again, despite all the efforts, he was ignored by the selectors.

The 40-year-old cricket analyst, who is usually quite vocal about his opinions said that Mayank couldn’t have done more to get a call-up for the Indian team. Furthermore, he also wrote that he was expecting Rajneesh Gurbani and Mohammad Siraj to be picked in place of Shardul Thakur. Aakash seemed to be disappointed that the same didn’t happen. At the same time, he also wished good luck to Shaw and Vihari.

“Was expecting either Gurbani or Siraj to be picked for Thakur. Well, that didn’t happen. Good luck to Prithvi and Vihari. Feel for Mayank Agarwal. Couldn’t have done more to get a call up… #EngvInd,” Chopra wrote in his tweet.
