Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim fail to answer the easiest cricketing question

Aamir Khan is known to be a huge cricket fan it is seldom that he misses an opportunity to cheer for the Men in Blue (Team India and Mumbai Indians) when they are playing in Mumbai. On Friday he was also present at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad for the series decider between India and Australia.

Aamir was there with Zaira Wasim his co-star in the upcoming movie Secret Superstar. Since a celebrity was in the hose to promote his movie the anchor pulled them up for a quick chat in the pre-match show. The duo interacted with Jatin Sapru and former Indian cricketer turned commentator Virender Sehwag.

Rapid-fire

The superstar talked about his movie, the Indian players and when asked also predicted the outcome of the game. They eventually arrived at the rapid-fire segment where Jatin tested his knowledge of the game. It ended in a tie between Aamir and Zaira as they gave one correct answer each. As a tiebreaker, they were asked who is the captain of the Indian Women’s team? It turned out to be a bouncer for Aamir who tried to duck around it with “I know but I’m not getting it now.”

He made a few guesses but both the actors had no clue who is the leader of the Women in Blue. Aamir’s ‘I know’ was exposed when he couldn’t get it right despite being prompted the initials. Giving up Jatin gave them the answer himself that it is Mithali Raj.

Fond of Virat Kohli

Though they had no knowledge about the women’s team skipper both Aamir and Zaira seemed to be fond of Virat Kohli. The Dangal star said that he follows Virat’s style while the teenager said, “Be it his way of playing the game of cricket or his attitude, Virat is very good.”

Their visit was successful to an extent as they made an appearance on the show but couldn’t witness what promised to be an exciting game of cricket as the outfield at the Stadium was too damp for play to be initiated and the officials made a decision to call off the match. With that, the series was shared and Australia will be happy they fly back home at least with a shared trophy from this tour of India.
