MS Dhoni hasn’t played any cricket after the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales. He was last seen in India’s semi-final against New Zealand at the Old Trafford in Manchester. There he scored a half-century in the run-chase, but failed to take the Men in Blue over the finishing line. Martin Guptill threw the stumps at the striker’s end and dashed Dhoni and Team India’s hopes.

From there on, he went on a sabbatical. In the meantime, in Dhoni’s absence, India kept grooming the likes of Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant. There have been a lot of speculations on when he will retire from international cricket. There have also been several reports on his probable comeback. During the break, the 38-year-old also served the Indian Army at the Kashmir Valley.

He was set to return in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He attended a few training camps as well, but the tournament had to be postponed for an indefinite period of time. The same was because of the coronavirus outbreak, which has rocked the world. Dhoni also attended CSK’s training camp, which was called off.

Dhoni shows his humble nature

Now the Super Kings have released a new video of Dhoni on their social media platform. In the clip, Dhoni was seen, coming out of a door followed by Suresh Raina. Both Dhoni and Raina have been part of CSK since the inaugural edition in 2008. The duo conjured cheers from the fans outside.

To start with, Dhoni acknowledged a salute from the security guard present at the gate. He then points grapes towards his supporters in a hilarious manner. Thereafter, he boarded the bus after waving at the crowd. “The sweet king’s here, simply rock on! #Thala #MSDhoni,” CSK’s tweet read.

The video turned out to be an absolute delight for the fans of Dhoni and the Super Kings, for whom he has over 100 plus matches. Dhoni has three IPL trophies along with a couple of Champions League T20 titles. The fans couldn’t stop lauding the veteran.
