South African legend AB de Villiers is in India playing the Indian Premier League (IPL), his family – wife and kids are with him and he is making most of this time together. After their game last night (let’s not talk about it right now) AB decided to go out on a tour of Bangalore with his family and to make the ride fun they went in an auto rickshaw.

Now Indians are pretty familiar with this but a cricketer of AB’s stature in an auto, things could actually get pretty messy in India. AB made a small video and we can see it was in the afternoon, odd hours, least traffic but at least a few fans did manage to spot them. They followed his auto on their vehicles and were shouting “Ee sala cup namade” which is Royal Challengers Bangalore fans slogan for this IPL. It roughly translates to the cup is ours.

De Villiers turned to his family and his wife as well as kid repeated “Ee sala cup namade” after him. He said that we are on a tuk-tuk ride in Namma Bengaluru. Meanwhile, the guys following them wanted to take a photo amidst the moving auto. One of them almost got down from the scooter to click a picture. RCB certainly have really passionate fans who have over the years, irrespective of the final outcome backed the team.

Here is the video of AB de Villiers and family enjoying a tuk-tuk ride in Bangalore:

This time around, the results have really hurt RCB. They’ve played 6 matches and won just two. Last night Bangalore faced off against Chennai Super Kings and batting first the team posted 205 runs on the board but couldn’t defend it. For CSK Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni stole the show. Dhoni also hit the winning six in the last over to seal the match for his team with 5 wickets and a couple of balls to spare.

RCB next take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and will want to win this one to keep their hopes of advancing to the playoffs alive.
