AB de Villiers pours his heart out for the Kerala Flood victims
The 34-year-old took to Twitter and sympathised with the victims.

August 9, 2018- The date will be remembered as one of the dreariest days in Kerala’s history. Heavy rains have resulted in flood owing to which mayhem has unfolded in the state. The rainfall was expected to measure 244.1 mm, but the same has turned out to be 619.5 mm. Moreover, the rain is speculated to continue for the next two days. The death tolls have gradually risen.
Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, has also described the incident as one of the worst. Honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi lately announced a relief of 500 crore for the victims. Sanju Samson, the 23-year-old Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who hails from Kerala, donated Rs 15 lakhs towards Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Saly Samson, his brother, and Samson Vishwanadh, his father, met CM Vijayan and handed over the cheque to him on Sanju Samson’s behalf. He also mentioned that he did it for the reason of lending his helping hand and not for gaining publicity. The player also requested his countrymen to open-heartedly contribute for the state.
De Villiers prays for the Kerala victims
Recently, AB de Villiers, the former South African cricketer, has also shared his condolences for the victims in the dreadful incident. De Villiers has been one of the most lethal batsmen the world has ever produced. He has flourished in all the formats ever since he made his debut back in 2004.
In May, he came up with a massive announcement when he decided to hang his boots from all forms of international cricket. He will next be seen as the non-playing ambassador of the UAE T20X event to take place later this year.
In the meantime, the 34-year-old took to Twitter and wrote, “My thoughts and prayers are with the people affected by the terrible floods in Kerala!!! More than 100 dead and 200,000 left homeless.. terrible! #KeralaSOS #KeralaDonationChallenge,”
