India registered a thumping 2-0 win in the T20I series with one more game to go. It was Hardik Pandya’s night at Sydney Cricket Ground as he displayed his finishing abilities to the world with an unbeaten 42-run knock. India needed 14 runs off the final six balls and Hardik finished it off with a double and two back to back sixes.

Coming to the game, India elected to bowl first after winning the toss. Both sides made multiple changes to their playing XIs. India brought in Iyer and Chahal for Manish and Jadeja. Australia made a total of three changes by bringing in Sams, Tye and Stoinis. For Australia, Wade was the stand-in skipper for the injured Aaron Finch.

Australia came in with new opening pair in Wade and Short. Wade displayed his brilliance as an opener with a top-class fifty. Smith also hit some incredible shots during his stay. He added 46 runs to the scoreboard. Australia posted a total of 194/5 in 20 overs. For India, Natarajan was again the top bowler with 2/20 in his 4 overs quota.

Virat Kohli does an AB de Villiers; Mr 360 responds

In the 2nd innings, India needing 195 to win, Dhawan and Rahul came out to bat. However, Rahul couldn’t do much as he got out after scoring 30 runs. Dhawan went on to smack a fifty and soon got out. Kohli, at no.3, stole the limelight with his 40-run knock. In the 15th over off Andrew Tye, Virat Kohli brought an unorthodox shot to smack the bowler for a six.

It was an AB de Villiers-Esque shot as the modern master went on one knee to hit the ball for a six over fine leg. The shot stunned many including the commentators on air. After witnessing the incredible shot, AB de Villiers himself came up with a tweet. Mr 360 couldn’t resist himself and tweeted a few emojis.

After Kohli’s dismissal, Iyer and Hardik took control of the game and handed India a scintillating win. Both sides will take on 8th December at the same venue for the third and final T20I. Later, India and Australia will take on each other in the four-match Test series, starting from December 17.
