When it comes to ground fielding and catching none is better trusted than AB de Villiers, he seems to have a liking for the ball. Within the span of his current ongoing career AB has taken numerous spectacular catches for his team. Let’s have a look at one such catch that he pulled off during the Test match between South Africa and New Zealand.

The third match of the Test series New Zealand in South Africa 2006 at Johannesburg, the South African bowlers were leading the attack fiercely. It was the seventh over of the match  Makhaya Ntini was on a role with the ball, Ntini pitched the ball up sucking Styris into a drive and getting the leading edge of the bat.

The ball flew to third slip where AB de Villiers made a full stretched dive across his left catching a blinder. The third duck for the visitors in the match. Alongside Kallis and Graeme Smith in the second and first slip respectively, AB was standing in the third slip region, as the ball flies off the leading edge it was going to the second slip when AB puts a full length dive towards his left stretching his left hand out and clinching the ball dismissing Scott Styris for a duck.

Since then till now AB de Villiers has been producing such spectacular catches and fielding performances, the super human of cricket seems to surprise everyone every time he comes on to the field no one knows what he’s upto.
