ACSU objects on Percy entering Indian Team dressing room: The Sri Lankan super fan Percy’s presence in the Indian dressing room during the 3rd day of the 2nd Test while the play was still on hurled objection from the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) of ICC. The incident came to light when Percy was found having a good time with the Indian players, which was highly and logically unacceptable for the ACSU, as it keeps a strict check on any incident that may be a result of corruption.

The incident doesn’t conclude that Percy’s presence had anything to do with corruption, but it is in contradiction of the etiquette, especially during the hours of play. However, Percy later informed that he entered the Indian dressing room only after being invited by the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who is captaining India in the Test formats.

“Virat Kohli invited me in, otherwise I would haven’t gone there, the Indian players wanted me to sing, and then we hugged each other. That’s it,” the famous Sri Lankan fan said who was in the M Sathasivam Stand adjacent to the Indian dressing room.

He further added, “The ACSU official present there asked me to leave as no one is allowed inside the dressing room.”  As he was asked to leave as soon as he entered.

India is recently touring Sri Lanka for a 3-Test match series. The hosts are at the moment leading the series from 1-0. The 2nd ongoing Test match in between the visitors and Sri Lanka is on its fourth day now, with the Indian side leading by 413 runs and will have limited overs to bowl out the Sri Lankan side to win the match.
