Actress Anupama Parameswaran's mother reacts to rumours of her daughter marrying Jasprit Bumrah

For the last few days, there have been rumours about Jasprit Bumrah’s wedding which have been surfacing on social media. The cricketer has been linked up with a few famous female icons, with Twitterati guessing the name of his to-be-bride. Some reports suggested that the Indian fast bowler was dating South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran. 

However, all those rumours can be put to bed, as Anupuma’s mother has clearly denied any of those rumours. In a recent interview, her mother has completely rubbished the claims that her daughter was going to get married to Bumrah. There have been several reports before which have linked up the two youngsters. 

While speaking to Manorama Online, Sunita, Anupama’s mother denied all the reports of her daughter dating the renowned Indian cricketer. She further went on to say that she is completely aware of all the reports which have surfaced online about the two dating and that social media has gotten Anupama married on several occasions before this. She also clarified these rumours started surfacing when Jasprit and Anupama started following each other.

She further revealed that Anupama’s father is a big fan of cricket and had the opportunity to meet the 27-year-old pacer once. The incident happened when the two were staying in the same hotel for Anupama’s film shoot. Sunita also added that the family doesn’t take these rumours too seriously. Anupama is a very famous actress in the South India movie industry. She has become a household name with her debut Malayalam movie, Premam.

The entire buzz over Bumrah’s wedding started when he was released from the Indian Test squad for the fourth and final Test against England in Ahmedabad. BCCI went ahead to make it official that the bowler had asked for a leave due to some personal reasons. A few days later, social media speculations started to reveal that he had taken a break to prepare for his wedding which will happen in Goa, later this month. 

Apart from Anupama, social media has also speculated that Sanjana Ganesan, a Star Sports presenter, is the one who is going in wedlock with the Indian cricketer. After the words from Anupama’s mother, it seems social media’s guess about Ganesan could just turn out to be true.
