Adam Gilchrist takes to Twitter to search for his Cavoodle
The 46-year old's dog returned home later that night.
The Australians have something really interesting which always let them in the eyes of populous. From sledging the opposition to showing joy and helping one another, they have been able to light up the cricket field just like their jersey color. The former wicket-keeper batsman, Adam Gilchrist who was a pivotal part of Australian Team has been spending some quality time with his family and pet after his retirement in 2008.
The 46-year-old turned to social media on Tuesday after discovering the Gilchrists’ dog Honey has escaped their home in Subiaco, Perth. In past, Gilchrist has always been active on social media while sharing his thoughts and appreciating individuals’ efforts on the field. To find his loved one, he tried his level best with a series of tweets, helping people know his dog’s face and other important details.

Around 10 in the morning, Adam Gilchrist first came up with a tweet saying his dog escaped this morning as he got out in the Subiaco area. He tweeted saying, “Ok, Twitter has helped me before so here goes. Our family dog, a Cavoodle named Honey, got out this morning in the Subiaco area. Light caramel color. Any sightings/info much appreciated. Thanks.”
His fans worked regressively with the full fortitude to find the dog and even asked for the picture which eventually would help them find her. He immediately followed his fans actions and tweeted with a picture of his family dog. He said, “As request. This is Honey. Thanks, everyone.”
With all the hard work by his family and people around him, Adam Gilchrist finally found his dog and expressed his joy through Twitter thanking the fans for the efforts put in by them. He said, “SHE’s BACK!!! 13 hours after losing her, Honey is conked out in her usual spot on the lounge. Thank you so much, everybody. When used well, social media is brilliant. Even better is true community spirit. Our family are unbelievably grateful. #honeyshome”
