The Afghanistan cricket team didn’t win a single game in the 2019 World Cup. Even though their final group encounter against Windies was a memorable one the team will be disappointed with their overall result. Now the Asian team will be heading back to home but they will be again locking horns with the Caribbeans later in the year.
Afghanistan will be eager to reverse their fortunes on the field as they really failed to build on their recent success in the World Cup. Injuries and controversial decisions off the field might have also hampered the team morale. The side should consider the latest results as a speed breaker in their long term journey.
