There is a special connection between India and Afghanistan as far as the cricket boards are concerned. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has done everything possible to help the ever-improving nation in the game by dedicating a Stadium in Noida for them. The same camaraderie has developed between the players it seems as the trio of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players recently gifted the jerseys and the bat to the cricketer Karim Sadiq.
It is no surprise that most of the Afghanistan cricketers are fans of the Indian cricketers and especially MS Dhoni. They had expressed a wish to play their debut Test match against the World number 1 side last year and their desire is about to get completed in the next couple of days.
Wonderful gesture
Karim Sadiq himself revealed on his official Twitter handle that MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo gifted him the jerseys and an autographed bat. He was overwhelmed for such a wonderful gesture from them and termed Mahi as the all-time best captain in his thank you tweet for the trio.
He posted the pictures of his gifts and captioned it with, “Thanks all time best captain @msdhoni thanks @DJBravo47 @ImRaina from your respectable gift.”

Sadiq is not the part of the Test squad which will face Team India on June 14 in the historic one-off game. But the 34-year-old has been vital to their fortunes in the last couple of years, albeit in the shortest format of the game. He last played for his country in February this year and since then has been out of favour it seems.
Though he is always active on social media and expresses his happiness on Twitter after his team does well at the international level. He will now be hoping for them to scale new heights in the Test format as well.
