Two exciting games were on display on Day 8 (March 20) of the ongoing Ajman T20 Cup 2022. While Deccan Gladiators defeated Delhi Bulls by 14 runs in a low-scoring thriller, Ajman Heroes defeated Bangla Tigers by five runs to record their second win of the competition. The current points table looks pretty puzzled and it would be interesting to see how the final standings will look like.
Speaking of the first match of the day, Delhi Bulls won the toss and elected to bowl. The decision seemed spot as the Gladiators lost five wickets inside 22 runs. Adeel Malik then joined Aayan Khan and took the score to 42 by the tenth over when Aayan, who had hit two boundaries, fell caught by Zahid Ali at wide mid-on off Mohammad Azhar for 17.

Adeel then shared significant partnerships with Mayank Chaudhry and Danish Qureshi as the Gladiators were able to cross the 100-run mark. Adeel ended up after scoring a timely 42 to lift his team out of trouble and take the score to 103 runs. Chasing the easy-looking target, the Bulls batters never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Adeel took three wickets with the ball as the Bulls were restricted to 89/9 in their allotted 20 overs, losing the contest by 14 runs.
As far as the second game is concerned, Ajman Heroes won the toss and elected to bat. Batting at number three, Khalid Shah played some delightful shots all over the park and ended up scoring 81 off just 50 deliveries. His stellar efforts took the Heroes to 183/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
Chasing the substantial target, the Tigers were in the hunt for the best part with the likes of Sagar Kalyan, Ameer Hamza and Waqas Jutt playing crucial knocks. However, Nasir Aziz’s three-wicket haul meant the Tigers were restricted to 178/7, losing the contest by five runs.
