Watch: Al-Amin Hossain’s hat-trick v Sylhet Super Stars in BPL 3: The ongoing 3rd edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) got spiced up with some exciting thrilling last over finishes. The last ball thriller during the 6th match between Sylhet Super Stars and Barisal Bulls was powered by a brilliant hat-trick from Al-Amin Hossain of Barisal Bulls.

Defending 108, Barisal Bulls’ right arm pacer Al-Amin Hossain struck in his first over by sending back Mominul Haque. In his 2nd over (4th over of the innings), Al-Amin got rid of Ravi Bopara, who nicked 2nd delivery of the over to the wicket keeper Brendon Taylor. On the next the delivery Nurul Hasan played a sharp incoming delivery onto his stumps and returned back to the pavilion. Super Stars’ captain Mushfiqur Rahim came out to face the hat-trick delivery and had to face another good delivery from Al-Amin which disturbed his off-stump.

The stadium started to celebrate with roars in the stands along with the Barisal Bulls’ players on the field soon after Al-Amin Hossain knocked down Rahim’s stumps and completed his hat-trick. Al-Amin picked one more wicket in his final over to complete his 5-wicket haul and earned the Man of the Match award after playing most important role in his side’s 1-run victory.

Al-Amin’s hat-trick is only the 2nd in Bangladesh Premier League’s history. The 1st hat-trick was taken by Mohammad Sami during 2012 season for Duronto Rajshahi against Dhaka Gladiators as he picked wickets of Darren Steven, Aftab Ahmed, and Naved-ul-Hasan in consecutive deliveries in the final over of the match. Interestingly, Mohammad Sami now features for Barisal Bulls.
