'Alag prakaar ka aadmi aaya' - Hardik Pandya reveals how he first met Natasa Stankovic

Hardik Pandya shocked many of his fans when he announced his engagement with the Serbian actress, Natasa Stanković. The announcement was something that no one had thought of. In a recently released interview, the Indian all-rounder revealed how he met his now-wife, Natasa.

During an interaction with Harsha Bhogle, Pandya was asked how out of nowhere he and Natasha dropped the news of their engagement. The 26-year-old said that he told no one before getting engaged. Interestingly, he revealed that he had not even told his parents that he was getting engaged. He also stated that he told his brother and cricketer, Krunal Pandya, only two days before the engagement happened.

“My parents also didn’t know that I was getting engaged. Two days before (the engagement), I told Krunal. I told him, ‘I have had enough. I have found someone in my life who I love, and I am becoming better.’ They (family) backed me and told ‘do whatever you want,” Hardik said during the show ‘In conversation with Cricbuzz’.

During the show, Bhogle further asked about how Hardik and Natasa met. He also enquired if she knew who he was when they met. To this, the Baroda all-rounder revealed that she didn’t know who he was when the two first met.

“She had no idea who I was. I got her by talking,” Hardik recalled about their first meeting. “She saw someone in a hat at a place where I met her, wearing a hat, a chain, a watch, at 1 AM. So she thought he is ‘alag prakaar ka aadmi aaya’ (different kind of person came). That is when I started talking to her, started knowing each other. Then, we started dating. Then got engaged on December 31,” the all-rounder said.

The couple had announced through their social media accounts on January 1, 2020, that they got engaged. A few days ago, they announced that the couple will soon have their first child and that they have got married during the lockdown period.

The 26-year-old Hardik also talked about how his family is important to him. He mentioned that for him, his family comes first. He also called his brother, Krunal his guru.
