With only a month remaining for the beginning of the 13th season of The Indian Premier League (IPL), all the players from 8 teams are putting their best foot forward to get in form. The schedule is set to kick start from September 19 in the UAE, and the final action will take place on November 10. After a long period of COVID forced lockdown, players were bound inside their homes, and remained aloof from all the outdoor practice sessions.
But with IPL approaching in quick time, all are gearing up for the cash-rich T20 event. Ever since Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma got back to practice, he has been sharing videos of his practice sessions on social media.
The most successful captain of the tournament is going full throttle with his preparations, and what has grabbed the fans’ attention is his latest video on Instagram where he can be seen training, and what didn’t escape our eyes is actor Ranveer Singh’s motivational comment on the same post
In his latest video on Instagram, Rohit captioned the post and wrote, “Up and running with @mumbaiindians.”
Here’s Rohit Sharma’s energetic video
The captivating video went viral in no time and has received over 2 Lakh likes so far. Bollywood stunner Ranveer Singh took no time to praise the skipper’s skills and wrote “ALL HAIL THE HITMAN” on his post.
Here’s Ranveer’s reply: –
The video takes over with small warming up session where the Mumbai captain is seen sprinting across the indoor stadium and then switches to his net sessions. Sharma is seen acing all sorts of shorts like pull, cut and cover drives with perfect timing. The top-order batsman is known for his trademark pull and can be seen playing the same in the video too.
Though Sharma is the most successful captain in the history of IPL, the team’s UAE record is terrible. Back in 2014, when half the tournament was staged in UAE due to general elections in India, MI lost all 5-matches. However moving in full swing, Rohit is looking forward to change the past record and will push forward the team to lift its 5th IPL trophy. All the 8 teams will fly for UAE around 21-22 August.
