Angelo Mathews features as the lone all-rounder in the playing XI. A drastically underrated player, Mathews has featured in six seasons of the tournament and contributed with both bat and bowl whenever needed. His numbers might not be very impressive, but they don’t really give a correct picture.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder had done well in the 2013 season. Around the same time, he was also shining in international cricket. However, it wasn’t sufficient enough to get him a contract. The veteran all-rounder played two more seasons after that but failed to get enough chances.

Of late, he recently stole the limelight for his maiden double ton in test cricket. Also, his brilliant century in the World Cup 2019 against India also deserves a mention. Going by his current form, one can expect him to provide an accurate balance to this squad.
