'Always a pleasure' - Virat Kohli catches up with Sachin Tendulkar, young MI cricketers during RCB's last fixture
Virat Kohli has always been up for advice with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
Virat Kohli, one of the best batters in the modern era, posted a photo on Twitter of him interacting with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar after the game between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli hasn’t been at his best in the last two to three years in international cricket and stepped down from captaincy in the IPL as well for India. The 33-year-old, despite getting rid of the burdens of leadership, has found it tough to get going. However, he played a valuable knock against Mumbai Indians last evening (April 9).
After a mix-up against Rajasthan Royals, which caused Kohli’s dismissal in the previous game, the right-hander was desperate to make it big against Mumbai Indians and his intent was there from ball one. He found the boundaries, at times by taking risks, and was brilliant against spin. However, after a well-made 48(36) that included five fours, Kohli was dismissed off the leg-spin of Dewald Brevis and he was furious with the third umpire’s decision after the referral didn’t go his way.
Despite not getting a half-century, Kohli’s innings would have certainly promised a lot to the RCB dugout for the upcoming fixtures. It has to be noted that Kohli is the highest run-getter in IPL history and he can be unstoppable once he starts getting into his zone. Kohli has always been up for advice from his idol Tendulkar, and the two batters have dominated the cricketing world in their generations. Tendulkar has been mentoring the Mumbai Indians franchise and it provided an opportunity for Kohli to catch up with the Master Blaster. Kohli was also seen interacting with young cricketers of MI.
