Cricket fans must have their eyes on the calendar as Australia are set to visit Pakistan for a historic all-format tour, comprising three Test matches, as many ODIs, and a solitary T20I. Notably, this tour will mark Team Australia’s first assignment on Pakistan soil since 1998. Hence, the players won’t be much familiar with the track conditions and other factors.

Nevertheless, Australia are the top-ranked Test team at the moment and are expected to do well. A lot of eyes will be on David Warner, who was instrumental in his side’s 4-0 Ashes triumph last month. However, the veteran opener has a point to prove as his Test record in the sub-continent is far from impressive. Meanwhile, Warner, before leaving for Pakistan, took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt message for his family.

It’s time to get back into business: David Warner

Sharing a collage of pictures with wife Candice, and daughters Ivy, Indi and Isla, the 35-year-old wrote goodbyes are always hard. “Always hard to say goodbye to my girls! We’ve had lots of fun over the last few months, but now it’s time to get back into it for a few weeks before we reunite once again. I will miss you all soo much @candywarner1,” Warner captioned the post.

The comment section got flooded in no time as fans were left heart whelmed. Warner’s wife also reacted by commenting: “We can’t wait to watch you play again. We miss you and love you.” Meanwhile, the southpaw is likely to be away from his family for a few months as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is set to get underway on March 26.

Although Warner has not been named in the white-ball squad, he and some other Aussie players will miss the first few IPL matches as Cricket Australia granted them NoCs to play in IPL from April 6.  Notably, the southpaw will serve Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022 as the franchise bought him for INR 6.25 crore in the mega auction earlier this month.
