Australia’s tour of India began with the visitors securing a 2-0 series win over the Men in Blue in the T20I series. This was India’s second consecutive series loss in the shortest format after conceding the series 2-1 in New Zealand. The first One Day International kicked off at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium as the Men in Yellow won their third consecutive toss in the tour.
The Star Sports studio had unexpected guests today in the form of actors Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. Both came to promote their upcoming movie. The senior man has been a known cricket fan and the same is quite visible in his tweets. He created quite a stir for his tweet on Joe Root during the 2016 World T20 in India where the hosts bowed out after the semi-final.
When anchor Jatin Sapru asked to make a prediction on the Australian total, Taapsee reckoned it would be 250. However, the veteran actor was spot on as he predicted 230-240. Australia ended up posting a total of 236/7 in their quota of 50 overs. Here is the video where Amitabh Bachchan can be witnessed making a fantastic prediction.

Earlier in the day, Australia struggled to bat well as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Glenn Maxwell looked in brilliant touch before a peach from Mohammed Shami got the better of him. Some quickfire batting, in the end, ensured that the Australians managed to post a respectable total on the board. Usman Khawaja also turned up with a superlative half-century.
As for India, Shikhar Dhawan failed to get going again as he got out on the first ball. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli took the stock of the situation but couldn’t prolong their stay at the crease for long. However, it was Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni‘s splendid partnership in the end that was a game changer for India. Both ended up scoring fifties as India steered close to the target
