India was reeling at 25/3 when MS Dhoni joined Yuvraj Singh in the middle after the men in Blue lost KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli early. Yuvi looked at his sublime best from the word go and despite 3 early wickets, he didn’t hesitate to go after the English bowlers. Understanding the fact that Yuvi was hitting the ball well, Dhoni played the 2nd fiddle and gave him the strike as much as possible.
Both Yuvi and Dhoni took us down the memory lane and made us relive all those moments we had been missing for the last six-seven years. The way Yuvraj batted reminded me of the 2007 World T20. He was at his very best and dismissing good deliveries from his presence with disdain. The most heartening fact in his innings was most of his big shots came with a straight bat. It was simply mesmerising to see Yuvraj back in his free flowing flow.

His eyes were filled with tears and it was bound to be an emotional moment for the man who had to wait 6 long years to achieve this feat in international cricket again. Yuvraj was eventually dismissed after scoring his highest ODI score, 150.
