Amitabh Bachchan showers praises on Yuvraj Singh and calls him a 'Champion'
Following a mind-boggling comeback by Yuvraj Singh in the 2nd ODI against England at Cuttack, the whole cricketing fraternity and other celebrities took to their twitter handle to congratulate the stylish southpaw on his monumental innings. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who has been the face of Bollywood since time immemorial took to his twitter handle and congratulated Yuvi on a stupendous knock. He called Yuvraj a “Champion” following India’s series clinch 15 runs victory over the Brits.
“India thrash the British .. !! Yuvraj, it is the champion that disproves with his proof .. you were an exceptional Champion today (Thursday),” Big B tweeted.
Not only did Big B congratulated Yuvraj but the whole Indian team for holding their nerves and clinching a thrilling victory. “Indian vs England second ODI in Cuttack… you ‘cut’ the British with incredible ‘attack’! Exceptional feat…superlative dedication, and peace,” he tweeted. Courtesy their successive victories, India now has defeated the Englishmen in 5 straight ODI series at home.
India was reeling at 25/3 when MS Dhoni joined Yuvraj Singh in the middle after the men in Blue lost KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli early. Yuvi looked at his sublime best from the word go and despite 3 early wickets, he didn’t hesitate to go after the English bowlers. Understanding the fact that Yuvi was hitting the ball well, Dhoni played the 2nd fiddle and gave him the strike as much as possible.
Both Yuvi and Dhoni took us down the memory lane and made us relive all those moments we had been missing for the last six-seven years. The way Yuvraj batted reminded me of the 2007 World T20. He was at his very best and dismissing good deliveries from his presence with disdain. The most heartening fact in his innings was most of his big shots came with a straight bat. It was simply mesmerising to see Yuvraj back in his free flowing flow.
