Mohammed Shami‘s wife Hasin Jahan has been in the news since last year when she accused the Indian cricketer of beating her and having extra-marital affairs. The incident affected Shami’s cricketing career at that point in time but he moved on to become India’s one of the lead pacers. He has been picked in the team for World Cup and will most probably be in the playing XI as well. But Hasin Jahan is yet to move on it seems.
Late night on Sunday, she barged into Shami’s house and was involved in an argument with the cricketer’s mother according to Times Now. It is learnt that Hasin Jahan first entered into the house with her daughter Bebo and started arguing with her in-laws. Shami’s parents then called the police and claimed that Hasin entered into the house forcefully.
As per the reports, the police have arrested her under section 151 which says that the police can arrest a person without a warrant for 24 hours. Hasin Jahan, meanwhile, has claimed that the police arrested due to Mohammed Shami’s fame and denied the allegations.
Shami in the IPL
Mohammed Shami, however, has recovered well from his family issues to emerge as one of the top cricketers in the country. He performed exceptionally well on Australia and New Zealand tours and sealed the third pacer’s slot in the Indian team for the World Cup.
The fast bowler has been doing extremely well for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and has played all 11 matches for them. Shami has accounted for 14 wickets so far and KXIP will be banking on him now to qualify for the playoffs. They are currently tied with SRH on 10 points and the two teams will be facing each other on Monday in Hyderabad.
